The Soundside region is home to several Fortune 500 companies, as well as some of the largest employers. It is also a desirable location to call home, with a very high quality of life. Just south of downtown Seattle and on the water, the Soundside offers the best of both City and Suburban living with short commute times, ample parks and green space, and shopping and entertainment.  Think it may be time to trade in your current career and trade up your living situation? So, what are the top-paying and available career paths in the Soundside region and who are some of the largest employers? Here are a few to consider:

Healthcare

Healthcare is huge in the Soundside region with dozens of hospitals, clinics, and medical centers that employ thousands of doctors, specialists, nurses and support staff. Large investments have been made by providers such as CHI Franciscan, investing over 60 million in a new medical center in Burien and partnering with Virginia Mason to expand cancer care. With top-rated medical care available and great career opportunities, the Soundside is quickly becoming a hub for Healthcare in the Puget Sound.

Technology

Engineers and Computer and Information Technology Specialists are in demand careers throughout the Puget Sound, and especially in the Soundside. The New Space industry has recently expanded here and with firms such as Boeing, and the Sabey Corporation calling Soundside home, the opportunities for advancement are plentiful.

With our close proximity to Sea-Tac airport and with Washington State being one of our nation’s most trade-dependent states, the jobs and opportunities to find lucrative employment in this sector are vast.
