A proven voice for business in these times of change is a vital component to success, and the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce is leading the way to economic growth and prosperity.

Since 1989, the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce has served the business communities of Burien, Des Moines, SeaTac and Tukwila. Opportunities to network, access to resources, increased business exposure and representation on relevant issues are some of the primary reasons why businesses join the Chamber.

Business Development

A non-profit business organization, the Chamber upholds its mission to be a leader in Southwest King County and a regional voice and resource for building business success. The Chamber is able to focus on business advancement in the region by helping to build and maintain a strong economic environment. Through the efforts of many dedicated volunteers, the Chamber works diligently to enhance the mutual trust and cooperation of the businesses and communities it serves.

The Chamber is the place to belong for any business in Southwest King County. With members ranging from large corporations to small “mom and pop” shops, the Chamber is extremely proud of the diversity and quality of its members. Members frequently remark that the Southwest King County Chamber is known for “great networking” and “friendly people who care.”

A national survey of 2,000 adults reveals that being active in a local chamber of commerce is an effective business strategy because two-thirds of consumers believe that such companies use good business practices, are reputable, care about their customers, and are involved in the community. The new study tracks similar data reported by The Schapiro Group in 2007. 83% of consumers prefer to do business with a member of their local Chamber of Commerce.
